February 17, 2008, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (“STI”), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic surfaces, recently announced the completion of two nine-hole synthetic putting courses at the Fore Seasons Center’s indoor golf dome situated at Pebble Creek Golf Course. Located in Bismarck, North Dakota, the project was completed on behalf of the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District.

The 1,500 square foot indoor putting greens were completed utilizing STI’s NP50® turf. Exclusive to STI, the NP50® putting surface is extremely realistic in appearance and performance. Closely mirroring a natural bent grass green, NP50® is a resilient, cross-stitched nylon putting surface. Virtually maintenance-free, NP50® is exceedingly climate-tolerant to both hot and cold temperature extremes, making it the ideal putting surface any time of day or any time of the year. At only one-half inch in height, the NP50® putting surface allows the golf ball to react naturally to chipping and putting. It is ideally suited for indoor or outdoor use, and can be installed over any sub-surface.

The City of Bismarck’s Junior Golf Program facilitated construction of the putting greens as a means to provide golf instruction to area youths. The project is the first phase of an ongoing expansion project under Bismarck’s commitment to the City’s Junior Golf Program. “STI was extremely easy to work with. We’ve had a very positive response from the community.”

The Fore Seasons Center is an indoor multi-sport athletic complex. The facility has hitting stations and short game practice greens and also houses Pebble Creek’s pro shop. Additionally, the complex has indoor soccer facilities and batting cages available for use by teams, schools, civic and professional organizations.
