Synthetic Turf International Welcomes Newest Employee Marie McGilvary Joins Installation Team
Former Pro BMX Racer Brings Can-Do Approach to New Position

April 1, 2008, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (“STI”), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic surfaces, announces the addition of former Pro BMX Racer Marie McGilvary to the company’s installation team.  McGilvary will travel the country performing custom commercial and residential synthetic surface installations.

McGilvary became involved with BMX at age twelve, winning her first Florida State Championship title the same year and ten additional State titles over the course of her career.  She also is a six-time National Champion, and a two-time U.S. Open Champion.  In 1999, McGilvary earned the title USCA/Visa Pro Woman of the year and in 2001 was chosen from over 2,000 riders to be named Florida State Rider of the year,  In addition to her singular accomplishments, McGilvary has also been a member of various teams, winning ten National Team Titles and one World Team Championship Title.  A staunch believer in sharing one’s talents with others, McGilvary has taught youth BMX racing camps in Tallahassee and Indiana.

Bringing her drive to succeed to her new position at STI, McGilvary has already played a key role in several high-profile installations throughout the State.  “We are very excited to have Marie join our team,” states STI President William Campbell.  “She has the drive, determination, and focus to get the job done.”  He continued, “Marie’s involvement with BMX gives her a competitive edge.  She’s not the kind of person who settles for anything less than perfection.”
