July 19, 2007, Jupiter, FL – Synthetic Turf International (“STI”), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces, recently completed installation of a first of its kind project for the Florida Department of Transportation (“D.O.T.”). STI custom cut and fitted 1,900 square feet of synthetic turf for use on a public road’s median. State Road 441 is the site of the project which called for STI to hand cut, shape and form 218 five foot by five foot diamond-shaped median inserts. STI utilized its SoftLawn®® Fescue synthetic turf to create the diamonds.

Commenting on the project STI President William Campbell stated, “We are thrilled that the Florida D.O.T. had the progressive foresight to give synthetic turf a try.
