Putting on the Ritz Synthetic Turf International Completes Dog Exercise Facility

Royal Oak, Michigan

July 19, 2007, Jupiter, FL— Synthetic Turf International (“STI”), an industry-leading supplier of premium putting greens and related synthetic surfaces, today announced it recently facilitated a state-of-the-art pet exercise yard for Pet Ritz America, a luxury boarding, grooming and daycare pet resort located in Royal Oak, Michigan.  The project was installed by STI’s Michigan distributor, Designer Greens Corporation.

The 7,800 square foot project was completed using SoftLawn®® Kennel Turf, STI’s newest synthetic turf solution.  Developed expressly to meet the demands of Pet Ritz America’s high-traffic exercise facility, SoftLawn®® Kennel Turf is a virtually maintenance-free, natural-looking blend of polyethylene and nylon fibers.

Commenting on the project, Pet Ritz President and CEO Art Rimbold states, “We found STI through an internet search.  We contacted the company, they met with us, spent time with us and provided great follow-up.”  He continued, “There were some obstacles to work around, such as the existing fencing and extremely limited parking.  But Jim from Designer Greens was on hand to fulfill the project requirements and make certain it was done right.  I’m comfortable with the support they provide.”  The project is a repeat project for Designer Greens who was contracted to install synthetic turf in the resort’s dog runs last year.

“Dog owners today demand the very best for their canine counterparts.  Our SoftLawn®® Kennel Turf looks and feels like natural grass but is safer and more durable in its wear ability.  It’s able to withstand significantly higher levels of traffic and use than natural turf, making it the perfect solution for dog parks and kennels,” states Synthetic Turf International President William Campbell.  “Kennel Turf allows year-round use without the need for periodic closure for regeneration.  Additionally, synthetic turf requires no pesticides or fertilizers, providing a safer environment for canines and humans alike.”
