Synthetic Turf International Awarded Renovation Contract C.B. Smith Park—Pembroke Pines, Florida

February 15, 2007, Jupiter, FL——Synthetic Turf International (“STI”) today announced award of a contract to complete the renovation of a playground at C.B. Smith Park.  This project, on behalf of Broward County Parks and Recreation division, is situated on the park’s 320-acre site located at 900 North Flamingo Road in Pembroke Pines.  The project will consist of the installation of 1,950 square feet of STI’s distinctive SoftLawn® Saint Augustine XP synthetic turf solution and a two-inch fall zone comprised of 3/8 inch rubber.

STI submitted SoftLawn®’s product specifications to the project’s general contractor, Recreational Design and Construction, Inc. (“RDC”) who was so impressed with SoftLawn®’s specifications that they elected to incorporate the product into the original design.  Commenting on the project STI President William Campbell states, “We are pleased to have been chosen to complete this playground renovation and are eager to work with the County on such a beneficial project.” He continued, “Now the important work begins. The playground renovation at C.B. Smith Park is the first of four playground renovation projects STI is slated to perform for RDC, a Fort Lauderdale-based design-build firm specializing in recreational and public facilities.
