Celebrated Sand Creek Station Golf Course Adds Tee Line Synthetic Turf International Installs EZ Tee® Driving Range Product

Newton, Kansas

February 14, 2007, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (“STI”), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces, recently completed a driving range installation project at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kansas.

The project consisted of installing a 1,440 square foot driving range tee line constructed of STI’s innovative EZ Tee® system.  EZ Tee® is a natural looking, life-life synthetic turf designed specifically for driving range tee lines.  In addition to being able to hit directly off the synthetic surface, EZ Tee® also affords the golfer the option to hit off a regulation golf tee placed directly in the synthetic surface.  This is a stark departure from the white plastic tube that serves as a tee in other synthetic tee line surfaces.  In addition to EZ Tee®’s functional playability, Sand Creek Station’s owners and patrons alike benefit from the product’s cost-effectiveness.  EZ Tee® permits continuous use, eliminating the need to relocate and reseed driving range areas.

Commenting on the project STI President William Campbell states, “Driving range tee lines play an important role at a golf course and EZ Tee® lends itself as a significant component in this role.  Sand Creek Station wanted a product that afforded low maintenance while handling heavy traffic.  EZ Tee® fit the bill.  It’s a product that virtually sells itself.”

Recently constructed, Sand Creek Station Golf Course holds the honor of being named one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 10 New Courses You Can Play”.  In an effort to provide course patrons a private golf course experience, course architect Jeff Brauer has paid tribute to the famed courses of St. Andrews and National Golf Links of America in Sand Creek Station’s design.
