Secret Service Turf Project
This week we are featuring a rather unique install. Peter Albanes of Synthetic Turf of Greater Maryland installed this 7000 square foot project,utilizing Synthetic Turf International Trainer’s Choice and UBS-Champion Panels. The United States Secret Service needed to improve their ability to conduct strength and conditioning drills for their agents and decided STI Turf was the way to go.
The outdoor facility was completely lacking and securing federal funds is always a determining factor in upgrades. Pete and his team have the creative expertise and portfolio experience from designing everything from rooftop lawns to Wounded Warrior putting greens. They understand durable construction and quality turf.
The structural superiority of the panel is designed to dramatically reduce the need for extensive site preparation both indoors and outdoors, creating a base structure capable of supporting enormous loads while providing greatly improved GMAX and HIC impact numbers. The end result is a much SAFER and more predictable playing surface.
