(March 26, 2013) – Pioneer Turf, the Synthetic Turf International distributor for Southern California, has significantly increased golf and fitness options for Pro Kids |The First Tee of San Diego with the installation of a new synthetic turf field. Pro Kids has been challenging underserved youth to excel in life since 1994, joining as chapter of the First Tee in 1998. The First Tee is an internationally respected, non-profit youth organization that promotes life skills and leadership through the game of golf.

Turf Installation Allows More Than 1,500 Youth to Increase Golf & Fitness Options
The 12,000 square foot synthetic turf installation will be used by youth membership as a driving range to practice full-swing as well as a multi-function activity space for athletic development programs, all under the supervision and support of staff. More than 1,500 kids are served annually by Pro Kids |The First Tee of San Diego, which challenges underserved local area youth to excel in life by promoting character development and values through education and golf. Originally founded in 1994 as the Pro Kids Golf Academy, Inc. by former AFL/NFL player Ernest H.
