This week we are featuring an extraordinary talent contained in an unexpected package. Young Bella Dovhey is in third grade in Orviedo, Florida and only 8 years old, yet she has accomplished something most children and adults have not.
The Florida third-grader has traveled the world and won just about every major golf title a girl her age can win!
Bella won her age division at the U.S. Kids Golf European Championship in Scotland. After that, she then won the AAU Golf National Championship in Orlando, then IMG Golf World Championship in San Diego, and then the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship in Pinehurst, N.C. Bella is what some may call a prodigy. The kicker is that she has only had 20 lessons and attends public school full time.
Bella practices chipping and putting on her very own STI turf and her family says that it makes all the difference.
Bella’s dedication and skill in golf has afforded her the opportunity to meet many celebrities such as Donald Trump, Matt Ginella, Bryce Harper, Jack Nicklaus and Paula Creamer to name just a few.
STI is proud to continue to support Bella in her golf endeavors and very excited to see what’s next for this talented little girl.
